Pre-K and Kindergarten
We make learning enjoyable and effective by creating a calm, focused learning space.
Our strategy is to add at least one grade level per year.
STEAM Education
We have chosen outstanding programs that emphasize strong cognitive and problem-solving skills. our STEAM/Computer Science program integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Arts are included to improve student engagement, creativity, and innovation. Digital activities/coding being in kindergarten.
Reading & Writing
Our curriculum fosters confident readers and writers. Students enhance their skills by focusing on phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, reading comprehension, grammar, and word study. Children will regularly visit The Lion of Yehudah’s library to cultivate a passion for reading.
Foreign Languages
Students will have the opportunity to learn the Bible in its original language. They begin by learning the alphabet and vowel sounds, progressing to reading and speaking simple phrases. Students will also be exposed to Spanish and develop skills in counting and simple sentences.
Math
We use a rigorous curriculum to ensure students master concepts and succeed in math, preparing them for advanced courses.
Science
We use the Next Generation Science and ISTE Standards to offer hands-on, engaging science lessons for all elementary grades, covering topics like waves, molecules, organisms, and heredity.
Social Studies
Starting in Kindergarten, students learn about Louisiana and “travel” to explore culture and celebrations worldwide. They also study ecology, seasons, weather, the five senses, and good health practices. Students deepen their understanding of American and biblical history.
Bible and Worship
Students learn about the Bible, God’s plan for salvation through His feasts and His Son, Yeshua (Jesus). They study scripture, pray, explore God’s calendar and commandments, and examine archaeological discoveries related to the Bible. In Chapel, they will learn to sing the Torah and study weekly portions of the Bible.
